Huntermogging 2

Transmogrification really added a new aspect to the game! Non-roleplayers are suddenly concerned with not only their stats, but also their looks. Since I wrote Huntermogging, where I posted pictures of some of the hunters from Hunterstalker, I've been browsing the official hunter forums for more ideas. I see a lot of hunter pride out there, people transmogging Rhok'delar, Lok'delar and Recovered Cloak of Frostheim. Not too many BRK-1000, but probably cause it wasn't that easily obtainable.

Vial of the Sands

This week I've been off to my partner's family celebrating christmas. After 4 days of 100 % relaxing; eating, reading christmas comics, playing cards and eating more, I returned home to an omnious calendar invitation on my in-game calendar. It was from one of the guild's two officers, Missangel: "Important Meeting tomorrow! Everyone should log on to Mumble and their main chars 19:00 server time." The "Guild Message of the Day" contained the same message.

I have 12285 achievement points now! Autumn 2010 I got my "It's over nine thousand!", so that would make this an average of 3k a year. This week I've actually tried out some things I've never ever ever done before. Yes, even after 4 years of playing I found unspoilt territory to try out. :)

1,5 week after transmogging finally coming I'm totally bored of tier 6. xD So I guess the downside of looking how you want to is that you want to change it all the time. We're all fashion bitches now...

It's cool to look like I belong in Burning Crusade, but I also have unfulfilled Robin Hood-, native american-, tracker-, marksman-, Peter Pan-, Willhelm Tell-, Davy Crocket-wishes for my wardrobe. A hunter can have so many looks!

Weekly Update: Patch 4.3

12130 achievement points, which is 210 up from last week. I was guessing the patch would give me a nice boost. :)

Diagram is end-of-year subscriber numbers since World of Warcraft was launched in 2004. Having Mists of Pandaria launching in 2012 will definitely boost this graph even more. :)

Looks will only get you so far

Now and then, and actually pretty often, the community asks for updated character models, especially for the races that have existed since original World of Warcraft. Blizzard said something like this "we're reluctant to do this, as people are attached to their characters and how they look. But at the same time we're working on this task already, adding more facial structure and expressions" at Blizzcon.

As a person that is attached to how my characters look (I actually got Shadowed Unit Frames just so I could have a big 3D-picture of myself up at all times), I hope they are careful when they change the way we build our characters. I'm not artistic or creative at all, so I would end up either with max-face or boring-face. :) I'm generally not fond of having my settings messed with... But of course I want my characters to feel more alive as well. I hope when they do this, I get to keep my current look on Lae. It would be awful to suddenly have her foreign to me.

Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest

11810 achievement points! That's 90 up from last week. :)

I finished Loch Modan, Searing Gorge, Redridge Mountains and Westfall and finally got "Loremaster of Eastern Kingdoms". Which means I only have Kalimdor left. But I'll take a break from questing before starting that one, don't want to burn out.

Hunterstalker

I keep a folder called Hunters in my bookmarks. It's basicly the armory pages of fellow hunters I come across. It's kind of like Facebook; I like to see what they're up to, and of course compare them to Lae.

When checking out characters on armory, it's important to keep in mind that the talent points, glyphs and gear they use might serve a special purpose and is not necessarily the best PVE/PVP setup. They may be working on a special raid boss, soloing or experimenting in some way.

Weekly Update: Crawling Claw

I'm at 11720 achievement points! Which means I only gained 20 from last week. I didn’t really focus on doing achievements this week, as I’m trying to get Crawling Claw from Archaeology for my pokemon team! I find it hard to stop grinding when there’s still something I want. “Just one more site! Just one more project!”

Weekly Update: Pet Battles and Two Resets Each Week

I'm stuck at 11700 achievement points, same as last week.

Found 2 new companions with Archaeology! Pterrordax Hatchling and Voodoo Figurine are now mine. :) The only one I'm missing from Arch now is Crawling Claw, which I'm thinking of including to my Pet Battle team, it looks really cool!
I also bought the Guardian Cub from Blizzard Store. (I actually bought 2, gonna try and see what I can make out of the spare one...)

Weekly Update: Pandas and Loot

I'm at 11700 achievement points, up 80 from last week! Still second place in the guild...

• Finished the last Hallow’s End achievements; A Mask for All Occasions and Treats of Northrend/Cataclysm. (Also been deleting wands like crazy and stacked up on Female Murloc masks for agility buff.)
• Bloody Rare: Killed Kraator and Bro’Gaz the Clanless, and only have 4 left in Hellfire and Terokkar.

Blizzcon day 2: My quiver is full, let's go raiding!

Summary of what stuck in my head after watching "World of Warcraft Dungeons & Raids", "World of Warcraft Classes/Items/Professions Q&A" and "World of Warcraft Open Q&A".

• They might remove the cap on how many characters you can have on a server (which is 10 now), and only keep the total cap on how many characters you can have across all servers (which is 50). Very nice for those of us that like to make characters we level to 40 to then abandon forever since we feel lost outside our own server.

Happy Hallow's End Feline Familiar

So, the day didn't start out great. I woke up being ill. After dragging myself out of bed eventually, I started the computer. Browsing newspapers and listening to The Instance Podcast sent me on to Race to World First. Browsing Twitter (yes, I do several things at the same time. :)) I realised it's Hallow's End, and after checking Wowhead's update to what's new, I found out there was a new companion pet to be hunted down. Logged on and 150 Tricky Treat marks later I could buy Feline Familiar, which is an awsome black cat with a witch hat and green glowy eyes. :)

I'm at 11620 achievement points. That's second place in my guild, with Starlet the ret pally at 12080. There's clearly a competition here. But her lead is increasing every time I check, damn. ;)

I'm working on:

The Guild: Alysrazor companion race (including our heroic setup)

Alysrazor is a very unique and cool fight, one of my favorites! We like to have a bit of fun preparing for it as well. ;) At first (only, hehe) pull of the night for Alysrazor, everyone pulls out a companion pet. Everyone stacks up (except the poor guy assigned with doing the pull on Staghelm).

Draenei look good in everything. ;) I would guess the brown one is from Raid Finder, the green from normal difficulty and purple from heroic difficulty. But this is 100 % guessing.
