Transmogrification really added a new aspect to the game! Non-roleplayers are suddenly concerned with not only their stats, but also their looks. Since I wrote
Huntermogging, where I posted pictures of some of the hunters from
Hunterstalker, I've been browsing the official hunter forums for more ideas. I see a lot of hunter pride out there, people transmogging Rhok'delar, Lok'delar and Recovered Cloak of Frostheim. Not too many BRK-1000, but probably cause it wasn't that easily obtainable.

My own experiences with transmogging so far has been tier 6 with Golden Bow of Quel'Thalas:

I soon got tired of this though, and realised this very cool bow was perhaps a bit too popular. ;) So I then went for Nerubian Hive (uncommon rarity, mid 70-leatherworking set) together with Black Bow of the Betrayer. Which my guildmate thinks looks really boring (apparently it makes me look like the nab I really am):

So now I tried making a new set around Vengeful Gladiator's Longbow. Going for a more alien-, BC-, Outlands-, draenei- or crytallook. I put together the Steadfast set with some shammy shoulders and a shammy helm. But my partner says it's "too much bling and the gear should be darker in colour to match the bow". Which I kind of agree to. So I really need some help if anyone got any ideas...
In addition to armory-stalking to plan sets, I recommend Wowhead's Transmog Sets feature and WoW Model Viewer. And a tabard can really tie in the rest of your set.

Ooooh, I like it. :) I love that bow! I have the yellow/red one, Siren's Cry, and I'm looking for the blue one, Avalanche.

The Giant Stalker set actually looks pretty good on Draenei. Here is a link to my hunter's armory (with the bow Striker's Mark. Forget where it drops XD)
ReplyDeleteThe Ruthless Gladiator's Chain set matches Gladiators Longbow almost perfectly. However, if you don't already have it, it is currently unavailable in game. I'm sure they'll bring it back eventually.
